Howard L. Goldstein, C.P.A.
Howard L. Goldstein, Managing Director of the Firm, is a Certified Public Accountant with over 35 years experience. He has broad knowledge in all phases of taxation, both domestic and international, as well as providing tax strategies and planning to corporations, partnerships and individuals.
Mr. Goldstein's areas of practice include:
- Real Estate - Commercial and Residential - Residential includes single-family and tract builders, custom single-family homes.
- Professional Service Companies - Law firms, medical practices and related healthcare services, architectural and engineering firms.
- Leisure Industries - Hotel development, hotel including all phases of operations inside hotel properties.
- Manufacturing and Distribution - Textiles, Apparel and Pharmaceuticals.
- All phases of corporation tax including domestic, international and certain foreign corporations and foreign sales corporations, and various dealings with foreign taxpayers as it relates to U.S. investments.
- Individual taxation matters stresses not only current tax compliance strategy-oriented planning techniques, but more importantly, forward planning and tax/ economic projections as well as extensive estate tax planning and various types of valuations.
- All phases of the music, film, fashion and entertainment industries.
- Numerous arenas of litigation support services for clients. Generally includes economic loss work, business interruption work, and forecasting the net present value of a future stream of earnings. All work of this type has been performed on behalf of the plaintiff as well as the defendant.
Howard graduated from Rutgers University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics. After nine years with Mailman, Ross, Toyes and Shapiro, P.A. in New Jersey, he joined Mallah Furman in 1981, and was appointed Managing Director of the Firm in 2005.
Howard's professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Board of Accountancy. He is also a member of the State of New Jersey Board of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
