Gary W. Dix is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation Analyst with over 45 years experience. As the Managing Director at Mallah Furman, Mr. Dix specializes in business consulting, valuations, financing arrangements and tax planning for high net worth families and succession planning. Previously, Mr. Dix was the Director-in-Charge of the Firm’s Business Valuation Division, which encompasses estate planning, wholesale distributors of hard and soft goods, and other professional practices.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bernard Baruch College of the City University of New York in 1969 and began practicing with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells. He joined Harris, Kerr, Forster & Company as Manager of the Tax Department after four years and, in 1979, he formed Silver, Dix and Hammer, C.P.A. In 1994, Mr. Dix merged his firm with Mallah Furman and was appointed managing Director in 2011.
Gary’s professional affiliations include member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Perry Ellis International, Inc. (an NASD company) and Board of Directors of the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation, Inc.
