Boris Rosen Presents At The 30th Annual Immigration Law Update - South Beach

Miami, Fla., February 5, 2009 – Boris Rosen, CPA, Partner at Miami-based accounting firm Mallah Furman, made a joint presentation at the 30th Annual Immigration Law Update CLE Seminar held in the Jungle Island Treetop Ballroom in Miami Beach, Florida.

A two-day conference, this annual seminar sponsored by the South Florida American Immigration Lawyer's Association, focused on the latest and most significant immigration issues as well as the effects of recent legislative changes.

The panel's presentation, entitled "Accounting and Tax Issues for Financial Dummies" covered matters such as:

Pre-immigration planning - choosing the right entity type and timing issues regarding payroll taxes, estimated taxes and foreign bank account reporting. Maintaining and extending status - proper account and financial systems, maintaining accurate and current documentation and use of interim financial statements ATP Issues - 3 tests - net income, net current assets and employment of the beneficiary IRS Filing Requirements

Boris Rosen is a Florida Certified Public Accountant with more than 38 years of experience working in public accounting. Prior to joining Mallah Furman, Mr. Rosen was in private practice for 32 years in Downtown Miami. Mr. Rosen’s areas of expertise include Individual Tax Planning & Compliance, International Tax Consulting, U.S. Taxation of International Transactions, Taxation of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Reorganizations, Cross Border Business Operations and Multi-State Income Tax Planning and Compliance
