Frank A. Peña promoted to Principal of South Florida CPA Firm Mallah Furman

MIAMI, FL, December 20, 2010 - Accounting and business consulting firm Mallah Furman, announced at their December firm meetings that Frank A. Peña, CPA, was promoted to the position of Principal. In a career spanning more than 20 years, Frank's experience is diversified and comprised of several different industries in the United States and Latin America. Before he joined Mallah Furman in 2002, Frank's first fourteen years of practice were with two New York City based firms.

Frank, who works out of the Firm's Broward office, has specialized on audit and attestation services for closely-held private enterprises. He has extensive experience in construction, distribution businesses, shipping, healthcare purchasing exchanges and manufacturing. The Firm is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and Frank is a concurrent reviewer for various public company audits and is a member of the Firm's quality control department.

A cum laude graduate of the City University of New York (Lehman College Campus); Frank earned his C.P.A. designation from the States of New York in 1994 and Florida in 2002. He is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA, FICPA) and lectures regularly on emerging auditing and accounting topics at venues such as meetings of FICPA chapters, alumni associations and internally for the firm.

Frank is also a member of the Business Club of Weston, the Gold Coast Venture Capital Association, represents Mallah Furman at recruiting events, and is a frequent participant in networking gatherings that increase firm exposure, promote goodwill and mentor other professionals.
